WOW!!! Michelle Rodriguez talks about quitting ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise

And then there was one?

Actor Michelle Rodriguez, who grew up in Jersey City, is one of two people who has appeared in every “Fast and Furious” movie. But last month she threatened to quit one of the most popular film franchises of all time over its treatment of women, the New York Daily News reported.

In an Instagram post, the 38-year-old said the franchise has a serious lack of women.

“I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one,” she wrote on Instagram, the New York Daily News reported. “Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It’s been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years… One Love.”

Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz, and Vin Diesel, who plays Dom Toretto, are the only two people that have appeared in all eight Fast and Furious films. The latest installment, “Fate of the Furious,” came out in April.

About a week after blasting the franchise, Rodriguez let everyone know that her critique was not aimed at co-star Diesel.

“Vin, for many years you’ve been the biggest supporter of strong women,” Rodriguez said in an Instagram video. “I’ve always appreciated that about you throughout the years and just know that if I ever post anything, that it’s not you I’m talking to.”
