Ronaldo scored five goals against Bayern over the two legs of their Champions League quarter-final and followed that up with a hat-trick against rivals Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the semis
Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a “phenomenon” but believes one of his most impressive traits often gets forgotten.
The 32-year-old scored five goals against the Bundesliga giants over the two legs of their Champions League quarter-final and followed that up with a hat-trick against rivals Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the semis.
Ronaldo now has 44 goals in 45 appearances this season with Real Madrid on course for both domestic and continental success.
And Muller, who has struggled to produce his best form this season, was full of admiration for the Portuguese forward.
“Basically we all know that he is extraordinary, in his appearance and with his sporting performances. So he’s already a phenomenon,” the World Cup winner said on Wednesday.
“You cannot achieve such numbers of goals for so many years and so often without having to work hard.
“He has enormous physical and technical qualities, of course, but what impresses me the most are his heading skills. This is sometimes forgotten a bit. He has a fine technique, but he also has mad heading skills.
